The curriculum focuses on you as a whole person, thereby providing training in character, in content, and in competence.

The sessions are spread over a three-year period to cover all vital components. At the end of the three years, you would be eligible to apply for ordination in the Christian Reformed Church as a ministry associate. Job opportunities in the churches are increasing as churches seek well-trained and well-developed leaders.

One of the main opportunities for ministry is in the area of church planting. More and more local churches are looking at planting churches as one of the main methods of reaching out into the community. Since the average church size in North America is under 100, we need many more churches to reach spiritually hungry people. And we need more leaders than the Bible Schools or seminaries can provide. The BCLDN provides an alternative route to healthy leadership in the church.
