If one wants to stretch out of one’s comfort zone by aspiring toward Christian leadership, that is desiring a worthy work. — I Timothy 3:1
Have you thought about what you might do to grow as a leader and participate more deeply in God’s mission of drawing all people to himself? Perhaps you are already ministering in leadership in your workplace. Or you’ve discerned God’s voice calling you specifically to ministry in the church as an office bearer, youth pastor, worship leader, church planter or teacher. But you sense that this worthy work requires preparation and training.
Pursue God’s call by developing your leadership abilities through the Leadership Development Network (LDN), a three-year training program for all leaders and potentially a Christian Reformed Synod approved route to Ministry Associate.
The British Columbia LDN seeks to discover leaders, develop their character, competence, & content and then deploy them into ministry in the church and in the world in accordance with their gifts and calling. The group is coordinated by Wilma van der Leek (MCS, Regent College) and supported by a board of three experienced pastors with a passion for growing leaders: Martin Contant, Henry Devries and Andrew Turkstra.
Tuition is $1200 per year, including all books and is fully tax deductible. You receive 9 training days led by a variety of presenters (one Saturday/month, September through May). Your training includes worship, sharing with a diverse group of lay leaders, reading books from a full spectrum of theological and skillbased curriculum, writing reports and ministry experience reflections, and connecting regularly with a personal mentor.
Enjoy your leadership journey.
